The Soul Train Awards, which have been presented since 1987, are used to honor the best performers in the African-American music and entertainment industry. Past hosts of the recognition awards show include Luther Vandross, Will Smith and Gladys Knight, and this year continued with the star power, as Oscar-nominated actors Terrance Howard and Taraji P. Henson took helm of the ceremony.

Taped from Atlanta and aired on BET, Usher and Alicia Keys took home the most awards, each nabbing two prizes, according to E! Online. However, neither performer was on-hand to accept the recognition awards.

In perhaps one of the most interesting appearances of the night, Wolf Blitzer, the host of the Situation Room, learned how to do the popular "Dougie" dance onstage, before accepting an award on Eminem's behalf for Best Hip Hop Song Award.

"Who better to accept this award on behalf of Eminem," he joked to the crowd. "I know he's thrilled."

MTV reports that the Soul Train Awards also paid tribute to some of the biggest stars in the industry, including Ronald Isley and Anita Baker.
