The 22nd annual Gotham Awards put on by the Independent Film Project brought out some A-list actors and actresses, Entertainmentwise reports. The New York City fete occurred on November 26 and honored the best in the business including Matt Damon, Emily Blunt, Jack Black and Marion Cotillard.
Director and actor Mark Duplass of "Your Sister's Sister," took home honors for Best Ensemble Award performance along with his co-stars Emily Blunt and Rosemarie Dewitt. Despite being humbled by winning one of these prestigious recognition awards, Duplass admitted he was most excited to simply be in the company of such fabulous actors.
"This is kind of like camp for us where everybody comes back together for the summer, you haven’t seen everybody for awhile, so I look forward to getting roaring drunk and doing inappropriate things with my old friends," Duplass told the news source before the awards.
Other winners of the night included "Moonrise Kingdom" for Best Feature and "How to Survive a Plague" in the Best Documentary category, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Rocker and actor Jared Leto received praise for his directorial abilities for his documentary "Artifact," it took home the Gotham Independent Film Audience Award.
