The holiday season is in full swing and as many companies gear up for the laid back attitudes from their employees, others are pushing full steam ahead. Bosses in the latter categories may not be prepared to budge when it comes to ensuring work continues to get done, regardless of the date, but they might be able to make going into work near the holidays a bit more enticing for employees.
A great way to improve the passion and standards during the holidays is to offer workers a chance to win valuable prizes for all their hard work. Some award ideas to consider including doling out gift cards to employees who continue to get the same amounts of work done each day, regardless of the holidays approaching.
Another option managers can try to show workers they appreciate their dedication is to gift the top salesperson of the month, or the person with the least client complaints, with a special award. A crystal or glass trophy may be perfect as managers can personalize the awards with motivating phrases that will remind the recipient his or her diligence paid off.
