The National Council of La Raza (NCLR) ALMA Awards will be enlisting the help of the beautiful Eva Longoria and funnyman George Lopez as co-hosts of this year’s show. It was recently announced the duo will act as the ring masters of the event for the third time.
The NCLR official website reports the award show “honors outstanding Latino artistic achievement in television, film, and music and the enhancement of the Latino image in the entertainment industry. The show has established a following around the country and has made inroads for Latinos in Hollywood both in front of and behind the camera.”
Both Longoria and Lopez fit these credentials. Longoria is well-established within Hollywood as she has been nominated for a Golden Globe and is the recipient of a Screen Actors Guild Award. She also produces, works with charities and even owns her own restaurants. Lopez has had a long-lasting career in films, on TV and doing stand-up comedy. His hit show “George Lopez” ran for six seasons and he has been named one of the “25 Most Influential Hispanics in America” by Time Magazine.
Fans of the funny duo can tune into NBC on September 21 to see them and who will take home awards.
