Some Miami Dolphin fans may have had their reservations about the team's rookie quarterback Ryan Tannehill, but his recent performance may have put critics to rest. The Phinsider reports the team beat the Seattle Seahawks this past weekend in a tight 24-21 match up. Tannehill played a huge part in the victory and many different organizations are taking notice because of it.

Tannehill was recently nominated by the NFL for the Pepsi Max NFL Rookie of the Week honors – he is up against Washington Redskins' quarterback Robert Griffin III, Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton, Redskins' running back Alfred Morris and the Cleveland Browns' running back Trent Richardson. Tannehill is also up for the GMC Never Say Never Moment of the Week. These recognition awards are given to "the play or moment each week that best represents determination and perseverance," the news outlet reports.

YardBarker.com reports Tannehill deserves the recent praise after completing 18 of 26 passes for 253 yards and one touchdown in the game against the Seahawks. During the match up, Tannehill was able to set the team record for most passing yards in a season by a rookie quarterback. He now has 2,373 yards total on the season.
