At the upcoming 54th annual Grammy Awards, many musicians will be honored for their amazing work in the past year or in their lifetime. Even though the majority of the award winners will be announced live in February, the Recording Academy recently released that Diana Ross will be given the Lifetime Achievement Award along with some other musicians who have made an impact over the years.

“This year’s honorees offer a variety of brilliance, contributions and lasting impressions on our culture,” said President/CEO of the Recording Academy Neil Portnow. “It is an honor to recognize such a diverse group of individuals whose talents and achievements have had an indelible impact on our industry.”

It was also recently announced that the late Apple co-founder Steve Jobs will be honored at the annual awards as well for his impact on the music industry through the iPhone, iPad and iTunes.

The Grammy Awards will take place on February 12 in Los Angeles. Kanye West scored the most nods with seven, and close behind is Adele, Bruno Mars and the Foo Fighters with six.
