Boys Hope Girls Hope of Illinois receives first Castino Diamond Charity Award

As part of winning the award, the charity will receive money, goods and services twice a yearBy Abigail Richards

Castino Painting and Home Services, which is located in Northbrook, Illinois, recently announced it would begin bestowing Castino Diamond Charity Awards to groups that have proven to be a deserving charity.

The recipient of the first-ever award is the Boys Hope Girls Hope in Illinois, which was excited to receive the honor. Castino's new award stems from when its 20-year-old employee Larry Diamond died. As a result, Castino named the award after the fallen boy, and the company will donate $3,000 in labor and materials to a charity that they believe deserves it.

The charity must be located on the North Shore of Illinois or in the Chicago area, and a number of Castino customers nominated organizations that they felt were deserving.

"We would like to thank our valued customers. They stepped up and submitted numerous charity names for our consideration. We have many customers who devote their time and energy to helping a cause. We are proud to help the Boys Hope Girls Hope of Illinois as our first Castino Diamond project," said Roger Castino, owner, Castino Painting and Home Services.
