The American Music Awards took place last night and there were many highlights and memorable moments throughout the night, according to Rolling Stone.
One of the big winners was Adele, who wasn't present at the awards because she is recovering from throat surgery. Nonetheless, she received three trophies for Favorite Pop/Rock Female Artist, Adult Contemporary and Pop/Rock Album for "21."
In addition, Beyonce won for Favorite Soul/R&B Artist, Bruno Mars for Pop/Rock Male Artist and Lady Antebellum with the Favorite Country Band/Duo/Group.
According to Fox News, the biggest award of the night went to Taylor Swift, who won Artist of the Year, and she beat out some of the best in the industry, including Adele and Perry. Swift also was given a glass award for Country Female Artist and Country Album for her most recent, "Speak Now."
Not only were there a number of awards, but there were also some stellar performances including Maroon 5's "Moves Like Jagger" with Christina Aguilera and LMFAO with Justin Bieber.
