While most people generally participate in charity events out of the goodness of their hearts (or they should, at least), they still enjoy receiving recognition awards and marble awards. And, that’s fine, especially when one realizes that most often a lot of time, effort, and/or money went into the event. Recognition awards and marble awards serve to remind them and others of the hard work that went into the event.
Charity events usually happen through the efforts of those who work as either donors or sponsors. Donors are those who actually give something—time, money, or services, to support a charity; while sponsors may help defray some of the administrative costs by providing free advertising, venue space, or other services.
No matter who serves as what—donors or sponsors-- recognition awards and marble awards provide a way for those who represent the charity or act as intermediaries for a charity to show their appreciation. Both types can be designed and engraved to recognize individuals, groups, or corporations and the specific duties for which they were responsible.
Smaller recognition awards and marble awards can be given throughout the event itself. These can be given for different things, such as raising a certain amount of money before the actual charity event itself, or simply as a way of showing appreciation to everyone who participated in any way.
Mid-size recognition awards and marble awards can be given to specific groups or organizations that put in extra effort. For example, trophies can be awarded to teams for decorating their particular area.
The types of trophies can vary, also, depending on the reason for which they are being awarded. For example, small trophies, plaques, or medals can be used as recognition awards while marble awards can be used to denote overall winners or larger sponsors. In this way, everyone is honored.
Anyone who has worked a charity event knows how hard it can be. When the final figures are announced, however, nothing-not even the most beautiful of awards will surpass the feeling of satisfaction that will come from knowing how much money was raised for the worthy cause. That is what makes it all worthwhile.
Still, as mentioned earlier, recognition awards and marble awards provide a little fun, and promote a friendly spirit of competition. When given fairly and with an effort to include each and every person involved, recognition awards and marble awards do add something to charity events. |
