Your host, Jim "Mad Dog" Mandich, has had an illustrious career that has been centered around South Florida. He was drafted by the Miami Dolphins in the first round and played eight seasons with the Dolphins including the 1972 Undefeated Team. As a young man, Twan’s dream came to fruition because of his interest in books. Now, his focus is to pass on a legacy of reading to this generation of youth and increase their chances of becoming productive and successful citizens. Twan currently serves as Director of the Miami Dolphins’ Youth and Community Programs.

March 6, 2008: Chicago, IL – FineAwards.com of Hollywood, Florida has partnered with the Friends of Jaclyn Foundation as the official crystal award sponsor.
The Foundation continues to recognize college athletic teams around the country who have joined the Foundation in their mission to spread pediatric brain tumor awareness. The Foundation’s adoption program has paired young afflicted children with college athletic teams through an adoption process. The program is modeled after the Northwestern University Women’s Lacrosse team who adopted Jaclyn Murphy in 2005.
The Georgetown Hoyas have joined the Wildcats in their mission to spread awareness. On March 28th 2008, both teams – Northwestern & Georgetown – will compete against each other, for one ultimate and shared cause: To fight Pediatric Brain Tumors and benefit the Friends of Jaclyn Foundation. The game and preceding banquet will mark the 2nd Annual ‘Friends of Jaclyn’ Brain Tumor Awareness College Lax Challenge.
