It was recently announced that the official website for the state of Utah was given the Best in Class Interactive Media Award by the Interactive Media Council. This award is given to the absolute best in the five separate categories in which these websites are judged on – design, content, feature, functionality and usability.
The website, Utah.gov, was recently reorganized by getting a new navigation, layout and design, all of which deemed it award worthy.
"Being recognized with this prestigious international award is remarkable," said Stephen Fletcher, Utah State Chief Information Officer. "Continually leveraging technology to deliver innovate results to Utah citizens and other users, Utah.Gov is pleased to be not only considered for the Interactive Media Award, but a Best in Class winner. Recognized in the same category as Hong Kong (HKSAR) and Australia, Utah.Gov is pleased to represent the domestic eGovernment community as a winner."
This website has received 75 awards over the years, including nine in just this year. Other winners of this recognition award were to Kodak, the American Cancer Society, Microsoft and to Samsung.
