The Sky Women in Film and TV Awards celebrated its 21st year during the annual ceremony, during which they honored Victoria Wood with the Lifetime Achievement Award, according to The Press Association.
Wood is a writer and comedy actress and she was presented with her award by actress Imelda Stauton.
Additional winners of the night included Sue Perkins, who won the News and Factual Award and Emily Watson took home the Best Performance Prize.
According to Screen Daily, this year was one that broke records in terms of how many recognition awards were presented.
"This is a truly an exceptional year for the Sky Women in Film and TV Awards! Not only do we have a record number of awards – 14 this year – but we actually have a total of 18 winners. And what a terrific array of creativity, talent, drive and sheer determination they have," said WFTV CEO Kate Kinninmont. "Every single one of our winners is an inspiration to all of us in the business. More power to them each and every one!"
