The Nutrition Business Journal (NBJ), which gathers news about nutrition, natural, organic, dietary supplement and integrative medicine industries, has announced the winners for their annual Business Achievement Awards. These recognitions honors the industry's leaders who have had the biggest impact on health, wellness and nutrition in 2011.
Michael McGuffin of the American Herbal Products Association (AHPA) is one of the many who will be honored at the event, as he has been the leader in addressing the concerns about geranium extracts in sports supplements.
DSM will be honored with the Scientific Achievement award for two studies it conducted about a calorie-restriction mimetic. Also,the Investment in the Future Award went to Embria Health Sciences for the creation of the immune health ingredient, EpiCor. The company conducted a study in Ankeny, Iowa, illustrating that the ingredient showed a vast important during the cold and flu season among city employees.
The winners will be honored at the 15th annual NBJ Summit on July 24 to 27, where they will receive their awards for a spectacular 2011.
