More nominations for the Teen Choice Awards were recently announced and two shows are leading the pack. The Los Angeles Times reports Fox's "New Girl" and ABC Family's "Secret Life of the American Teenager" are both up for five recognition awards.
According to the source, "New Girl" is up for Breakout TV Show, Breakout TV Star: Male, Breakout TV Star: Female and TV Male Scene Stealer. "Secret Life" is up for Choice Summer TV Show, Summer TV Star: Female, Summer TV Star: Male and TV Scene Stealer.
"The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1" and "Snow White and the Huntsman" are the overall nomination leaders with seven nominations each.
"Secret Life" may have some trouble beating out "New Girl" for the most wins, as the comedy cleaned up at the 2012 Critics' Choice TV Awards recently. Zooey Deschanel, star of "New Girl" was named best actress in a comedy series alongside Amy Poehler of NBC's "Parks and Recreation." "Secret Life" did not win any awards during this event.
