The people have spoken, and Hollywood took note as stars flocked to the stage to pick up their glass awards. The People's Choice Awards were not to be missed on Wednesday night, with Big Bang Theory star Kaley Cuoco taking the reins as host.
Although she was a no-show due to her highly publicized split from Russell Brand, Katy Perry was the big winner of the night, taking home five awards in total, according to Fox News. The "Teenage Dream" songstress picked up honors for Favorite Female Artist, Tour Headliner, Song of the Year for "E.T.", music video for "Last Friday Night" and her guest appearance on the hit show "How I Met Your Mother."
Coming in for second highest number of awards that night was "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2." The final film in the saga took home four recognition awards over the course of the evening, although none of the film's stars were at the show.
Of course, there were some surprises in the mix. Perhaps proving that despite a rocky year, her fans still love her, Kim Kardashian picked up the award for Favorite TV Celeb Reality Star.
