New Orleans Saint quarterback Drew Brees and Philadelphia Eagles running back LeSean McCoy recently won the National Football League's Air and Ground Players of the Year awards, and they were presented to the players this past Wednesday, according to Reuters.
Brees was given this recognition award after setting a record for most passing yards in one season with 5,476, which beat out former Miami Dolphins quarterback Dan Marino. In addition, McCoy ran for a league-high 17 touchdowns and beat out Maurice Jones-Drew of the Jacksonville Jaguars and Ray Rice of the Baltimore Ravens for the fan-voting award.
McCoy has had quite the busy couple of weeks, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer. He was in California shooting a commercial for Nike, then in Hawaii for the Pro Bowl and then on Wednesday he was at the Super Bowl media headquarters to pick up his award.
McCoy's pick for the Super Bowl this weekend – the New England Patriots or the New York Giants?
"I really want the Patriots to win, but I feel like the Giants are probably going to win," McCoy told the news source.
