Pop-star Justin Bieber is nominated for collaborative video of the year for his revamped tune, That Should Be Me, which he worked on with Rascal Flatts.
Jason Aldean is competing with Bieber and Rascal Flatts for his collaboration with Kelly Clarkson in their song, Don't You Wanna Stay. Aldean also nabbed three additional nominations, leading any other artist for this year, the news source reports.
In addition, Carrie Underwood is nominated for female video of the year and video of the year for her song, Undo It. Taylor Swift is up against Underwood and has two other nominations including best web video of the year.
According to MTV, the winners of the these recognition awards are voted by the fans. The show is scheduled for June 8 in Nashville, Tennessee.
